In preparation for an NX installation, the focus is on operating system requirements, product compatibility and license configuration. The necessary steps for installing and setting up the license server, installing the documentation and running through a maintenance release installation are also part of the training.
The global environment is considered with the definition, the creation of a start file for NX and the creation of various links. The standardized installation and environment according to SIDT is explained in detail. The trainer also shows where customer benefits lie with a SIDT installation and what advantages for example the version directory, configuration automations and central environment files have.
Finally, the installation of additional products such as UGTools, drawing frames, SPLM Machinery Library and VDAFS is shown, as well as the implementation of user standards. Setting up printing functionality, reading and understanding log files, customizing and adding palettes and roles are also covered.
