In this training the functions, methods and procedures of the free-form design are taught. Allowing the construction and processing of structures outside the regular geometry and the work in parametric, partially parametric and nonparametric environments.
Course number:WTR 1220
Duration:5 Tage
Participants:Designer, Technicians, Engineers
Experience:NX advanced experiences, NX Basic Modeling 1 and NX Basic Modeling 2
Date:
The training introduces the commands, methods and procedures of NX free-form design. The models can be parametric, partially parametric or non-parametric. The basis of the freeform construction are curves or primarily splines. Therefore, the various possibilities for surface generation are explained. Functions which are necessary for further processing of existing splines and surface bodies are described.
Another important area of freeform surfaces is the analysis and optimization of design elements. Ways of analyzing curves and surfaces are presented here to be able to assess the structure of the geometry and its environment. Recommendations on approaches and an introduction to terminology conclude this course.
Compact
The compact training course is designed for participants who do not require the full product scope of free-form design. In terms of content, the topics of the regular training course in curve design, free-form design and analysis function are reduced and slimmed down. Law curves are not part of the compact training.
